DRAMA drama group WARTS is marking its 25th anniversary with a production of The Merry Wives of Windsor by William Shakespeare on June 25, 26 and 27 at Redgrave church.
DRAMA drama group WARTS is marking its 25th anniversary with a production of The Merry Wives of Windsor by William Shakespeare on June 25, 26 and 27 at Redgrave church.
The Merry Wives of Windsor is a particularly accessible Shakespeare play, blending comedy, farce and drama, and is suitable for all ages. Director Tim Hall has assembled a large cast, that in addition to WARTS own actors, includes several experienced performers from other local drama groups. The lead role of Falstaff, is being played by Les Dumbell, whose most recent performance was at the Theatre Royal in Bury.
Redgrave church provides an atmospheric setting for this play which is being performed in period costumes. There will also be live music by local musicians Sue and Adrian Carlton.
