Fingers are crossed for a bright and sunny May 10, as prospective brides and grooms from across the county are invited to the fifth Perfect Day Wedding Show.

Despite a wet weekend, more than 1,000 brides-to-be attended the October show at De Vere Dunston Hall, and it is hoped that figure will be topped as there are more stands and a bigger variety of exhibitors than ever before.

The show, organised by the publishers of the Diss Mercury, the Wymondham and Attleborough Mercury, Eastern Daily Press and Norwich Evening News, is one of the biggest in East Anglia, with more than 80 exhibitors covering all aspects of wedding planning.

'The October show was as busy as ever, despite the rain, and it certainly wasn't enough to put prospective bride

and grooms off attending,' said show organiser Judy Welsh.

Exhibitors include a large selection of transport options outside the main entrance, including vintage cars, Jaguars, Lamborghinis and Ferraris, as well as a red double-decker bus for people with several family and friends to transport from church to reception, and a helicopter for a real 'wow' factor entrance.

Services include bridalwear, men's formalwear, mothers of the bride, tiaras, hat hire, florists, photographers and videographers, venues, marquee hire, beauty spas, a nail technician, cakes and chocolate fountains, jewellery, gift list services, entertainment, a travel company and even a wedding planner, who can arrange the whole day for you.

'At this show we have several wedding stationary and favour suppliers, and even businesses that specialise in chair covers, which is becoming an extremely popular way to ensure a co-ordinated theme at your reception,' said Judy.

Other new exhibitors to the show include a firework company and a hen and stag night planner.

The fifth Perfect Day Wedding Show takes place at De Vere Dunston Hall

on Sunday, May 10, 11am-
