singer-songwriter Raymond Froggatt will be back at the Corn Hall in Diss on Friday next week, supported this time by popular west Norfolk band Kenny and The Strollers.

“Froggie” is known not just for country music but for his pop song, The Red Balloon, which was a top 10 hit for the Dave Clark Five in 1969. Since then he has maintained a reputation which for 40 years has made him the UK's top country music performer and singer-songwriter.

The Strollers began life back in 1958 with country singer Johnny Allsop and have performed throughout East Anglia as a pop and rock 'n' roll band.

Now, with Kenny Rudling, who has been fronting the band for the past 15 years, they return to Diss to play country-style rhythms.

The concert is in aid of the Corn Hall's refurbishment programme. Tickets are £11.50 and £10.50, available only by telephone on 01379 644013.
