There isn't much green to be seen in Diss Park at the moment but the heatwave temperatures that have turned it brown were home to crowds at the community arts festival DissFest 2018.
Families spent the first day of the weekend popular community festival enjoying a programme of music, theatre and arts.
The festival returned this year for the fourth year and organisers decided that it should focus more on the community and have a lot of free events for families to get involved with.
Kayt Button, operations manger for DissFest, said: 'We are hoping to have around 2,000 people attend the festival this year.
'Last year we had bad storms but we still had around 1,300 people coming to the workshops and events.'
The event kicked off on Friday with a Park Radio Showbiz Quiz hosted by resident radio hosts with Diss musician Rafa Mendes-Browne performing.
Saturday and Sunday includes a variety of musicians and choirs performing on the Band Stand in Diss Park with free drop-in workshops for all ages.
There will also be big outdoor games, bouncy castle, themed bar, food vendors, community arts on display and much more throughout the weekend.
Amongst the highlights today was performances of a unique promenade reworking of Shakespeare's tale of star-crossed lovers, Romeo or Juliet, produced by Diss theatre company The Keeper's Daughter.
Sunday continues with Halesworth-based Nutmeg Puppet Company performing Pip's Wildlife Garden (1pm and 2.30pm) and music performances from choirs Village Voices and Invidia Voices.
