Bonfire Night is almost upon us and while some families will be hosting their own bonfire parties many of us will be heading out see some spectactular fireworks displays. Here are some of the best places to enjoy Guy Fawkes fun and see the skies light up across South Norfolk and just over the Norfolk Suffolk border.
- Rickinghall Firework Party
Rickinghall Village Hall, Friday, November 1, 5pm-9pm
Lots of family fun promised with fairground attractions, including the funhouse, and firework display at 7pm. Enjoy a hog roast and barbecue with entertainment. Adults £5, children £2. Don't bring your own fireworks, not even sparklers.
- Wymondham RFC Fireworks Night
Wymondham Rugby Football Club, Barnard Fields Bray Drive, November 1, 5.30pm-10.30pm
This is the first time the fireworks have taken place in Wymondham Rugby Club's new home and alongside the fireworks expect funfair rides, entertainment and music, street food, including Bucket List fries and a German sausage hut, and a bar. Gates open at 5.30pm. The fireworks will be lit at 7.30pm. Entry £5, children (5-16) £4, under-4s free. Pay on the gate.
- Firework Extravaganza
Attleborough Recreation Ground, Springfield Road, November 1, 6pm-10pm
Attleborough fireworks are back with an even bigger fun fair with lots of food stalls, disco, face painting, princess and superhero mascots and much more. Advance adult £4, children (5-16) £2, under 5s free, family ticket £10, on the gate £5/£4/£14.
- Diss Fireworks
Diss Cricket Club, Rector Meadow, November 2, 5pm-9pm
Veteran firework man Billy Ellwood puts on his fabulous family display again at Diss Cricket Club on Saturday, November 2. Free admission. Refreshments include Dave Harris's Hog Roast rolls with sage and onion stuffing, homemade apple sauce and crackling! Fireworks will start at appox. 8pm-8.30pm.
- New Buckenham Fireworks
New Buckenham New Village Hall, November 2, 5.15pm-7.45pm
Prides itself on being a traditional firework display with many people from the village and local area getting involved. Bonfire will be lit at 5.45pm with a raffle on the night to win the chance to start the firework display! Food, award winner's Elmtree beers, and glow accessories available to buy.Entry £6, £2 children, under-2s free, unaccompanied children £4. Tickets available on the gate and cash only.
- Long Stratton Community Fireworks
Long Stratton Playing Field, Manor Road, November 2, 5.30pm-7.30pm
Community fund raising event, with fireworks by once again by Titanium (responsible for New Years Eve display in London and much more). Food stalls, beer tent and hot drinks. Free event with collection proceeds to local community groups. Gates open at 5.30 pm and display at 7pm
- Lophams' Bonfire and Fireworks
Lophams Village Hall, November 2, gates open 6pm
To add to a 'spectacular' firework display, Lopham is also offering a huge bonfire, hot food and drinks, and a licensed bar. The fireworks will be at 7.30pm. Admission is £8, children (14 and under) £4, family £20 (two adults/two children). It takes place off the A1066 at South Lopham.
- Queens Head Fireworks
The Queen's Head, Cross Street, Eye, November 3, 4pm-8pm
Popular annual fireworks display returns. The fun starts at 4pm and it is a proper autumn celebration as well as a Bonfire Night with apple bobbing and crazy games as well as kids' sparklers as the fireworks go off just after nightfall. Autumnal food and drink, including mulled wine. Donations welcome.
- Kenninghall Fireworks
Quidenham Road, Kenninghall, November 5, gates open 5.30pm
Proper village Bonfire night fun with a firework display by professional outfit Titanium Fireworks. The bonfire will be lit at 6pm with fireworks at 6.30pm. Bar, barbecue and more. Entry £9 on gate (primary school kids free), advance tickets £7 from local pubs, shop and school.
- Family Fireworks
Riddlesworth Hall School, Hall Lane, Riddlesworth, November 8, 5.30pm-7.30pm
Huddle around the bonfire with something delicious from the food and drink vendors while you enjoy this traditional family firework evening. Grays family fun fair will be offering plenty of fun ahead of the display from Flash FX Fireworks. School is signposted off the A1066. Free onsite parking and a warm glass of mulled wine on arrival. Tickets £6 per person or £20 family ticket (2 adults and children under 16) from the school office or book online via eventbrite.co.uk
Make sure to check online before heading to a firework display as timings may change or events may be cancelled due to weather conditions.
