Milongas, social dances held every few months, recreate the atmosphere of the dancehalls of Buenos Aires. Tony Ramsay and Kate Isotta, who teach the classes, have been delighted at how keen people are to learn.

"Tango has really caught people's imagination locally and that's partly due to the enthusiasm of Madeline Lees who took the initiative and invited us to start running a group in Diss, back in October 2006. We have found that what works is a consistent approach which builds up skills and confidence in a gradual way, in a friendly environment."

There are also plenty of opportunities to practise with 'practica' sessions in Diss at the Angel Cafe every Sunday morning and at the Garage dance studios in Norwich every Monday.
