The RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight featuring the famous Lancaster bomber, Hurricane and Spitfire aircraft will be the star attraction at a popular airshow this year.

Old Buckenham airshow takes place on Sunday, June 29 and will be supporting East Anglia's Children's Hospices (Each).

The air display line-up will cover military and commercial aviation over the last 60 years. There will be classic British and American military and civilian aircraft from the 1940s and 1950s, powered aerobatics, a spectacular aerobatic gliding display with coloured smoke, and the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight topping the bill.

The air displays will be supported by trial flying lessons, helicopter rides, balloon flights and a variety of ground based attractions including an exotic supercars display, classic military vehicles, vintage motor bikes, sponsors product displays and plenty of food and drink to make a great day out for all the family.

Airshow organiser Paul Layzell said: “The Old Buck Air Show has been going since 1999 and has earned the reputation as one of the best aviation events in the region. 2008 is the 90th Anniversary of the RAF, so we're aiming to do it again better than ever and once again we'll be supporting Each to help them support families caring for children with life-threatening or life-limiting illnesses.

“Air shows are expensive to stage so we depend partly on our sponsors to make the day a success and to raise enough funds to make a sizeable contribution to Each. To this end we are offering a range of attractive sponsorship packages to local businesses to promote their products and services to thousands of locally based customers. They include free tickets, promotional opportunities, advertising and we'll gear them to clients needs.”
