Diss Film Society at The Park Hotel is showing The Counterfeiters (15) on Monday at 8pm.

An Oscar winner this year for Best Foreign Language film, The Counterfeiters is a based on a real Nazi plot to flood the allied economies with bogus banknotes, The (anti) hero, played by Karl Markovics, is a Jewish forger who can either collaborate in the counterfeit operation and help the German war effort, or refuse and die.
