Children’s television character ‘IgglePiggle’ will launch a town centre treasure hunt in Harleston at the weekend.

The event, which is aimed for adults and children, will also give visitors and residents more information about Harleston and its history along the way.

Town clerk Margot Harbour, said; “The treasure hunt is the final activity in our Local Heroes programme and we are keen to do something for families, that is fun and free to enter.”

Local Heroes is an initiative funded by the Lottery and the Rural Development Programme and is designed to encourage people, working and living in Harleston, to increase their knowledge and passion for the town, and the Waveney Valley, in order to promote it to others.

IgglePiggle will be at the Local Heroes stand outside the Card and Party Shop in Market Square, Harleston, between 10.00am and 2.00pm on Saturday.
