Waveney Arts Trail dates announced

DATES have been announced for this summer's Harleston and Waveney Art Trail.

The Trail is now in its fourth year and the 30 member artists living and working in the Waveney Valley will be opening up their studios and workshops over the weekends of July 5 and 6; 12 and 13 and 19 and 20.

The Trail is now in its fourth year and the 30 member artists living and working in the Waveney Valley will be opening up their studios and workshops over the weekends of July 5 and 6; 12 and 13 and 19 and 20. They are open on the Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 6pm and entry is free.

Alongside familiar faces will be some new artist members on the trail. John Lidzey, nationally recognised watercolourist, and Alan Frewin, guest artist and accomplished potter and painter, are in Harleston; colourful abstract painter Nell Close in Wortwell; landscape painter and stone sculptor Rosemary Elliott at Wingfield; Christopher Parr/Rebecca Lyne are launching a new sculpture meadow in Brockdish and Alice Paulser, guest artist and sculptor will be exhibiting at St Cross.

The Trail brochure with pictures and information about all the artists will be in libraries, shops, bed and breakfasts and other public places in Harleston, Bungay, Diss and the surrounding villages from early June.

Harleston Gallery will be hosting a special trail preview exhibition at its new location in Harleston's Old Market Place from July 4-22.
